Hand forged splitting maul from Husqvarna. The Husqvarna splitting maul (also know as a sledge axe) is the most powerful and heaviest axe made for splitting logs and large chunks of wood. It has a hardened striking face in the neck and can therefore be used as a sledge or in combination with a splitting wedge. The head is hand forged and made of high quality Swedish steel. Wooden 32" handle is made of American hickory and secured with both a wooden and steel wedge. Comes with a leather edge cover.
