It features a uniquely designed big end with strategically located side scalloping vent slots to minimize high-RPM bearing race distortion. The crankpins are manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to 58-62Rc, ensuring toughness. The kit includes a connecting rod, crank pin, crank bearing, wrist pin bearing, and thrust washers. The crank pin is AISI carburized, and the crank pin bearing is silver-coated for improved sliding at reduced temperatures. Thrust washers are crafted from SAE-recommended phosphor bronze, further enhancing reliability. Additionally, the rod is manufactured with copper-coated surfaces to protect the rod beam from becoming brittle during the case-hardening process.
