The Cometic Exhaust Gasket is designed for durability and leak-free performance under extreme conditions. It utilizes high-quality materials tailored to each application, ensuring a precise seal. For 4-stroke engines, a double-sided Viton® rubber-coated stainless steel gasket provides excellent high-temperature sealing. Some gasket kits feature a steel-tanged outer layer bonded to an Armor-400 inner layer, which withstands temperatures up to 1,800°F, offering superior resistance to blow-outs or push-outs from over-torquing. This tapered-style gasket is an OEM replacement and does not require additional sealers.
