The Twin Cam Timken Case Bearing Conversion Tool is essential for builders of high-performance late-model Twin Cam engines. It allows for the replacement of the stock left-side crankshaft roller bearing (H-D #24604-00D) with a more durable Timken bearing (H-D #9028). The tool can also be used for stock 88" or 96" engines utilizing the JIMS precision insert. The kit includes a precision-machined steel bearing insert sleeve (held to under .0002" TIR), a press plate to ensure proper alignment during installation, drill bits for oil feed and return holes, necessary hardware, and detailed instructions. Installation requires standard hand tools, a hand drill, and a two-ton press. Timken bearings and bearing inserts must be ordered separately.
